Your Car Rental Guide

Hiring a car gives you the flexibility and freedom to sightsee and roam wherever you want during your holiday. No matter how often you've rented a car before, it always pays to do your research beforehand.

This site will show you everything you need to know about hiring a car. Please follow one of the links to find what you need. We have everything here.

Some points to consider before you rent:

Beware Of Hidden Costs Within Your Car Rental Charges

Try not to get overexcited when you think you have found a good rate; if the price seems too cheap to be true, it probably is. You will soon be disillusioned as you see the extra charges adding up, such as the sales taxes, airport surcharges, insurance fees, licensing fees and so on. Beware, and check the small print FIRST!

Compare Rental Car Rates Online

Surfing the internet is a good way to compare all the various rates offered by car rental services. You can also take advantage of discounts offered online by many major car rental companies. Once again, check the small print before committing. Also be sure of the restrictions that the rental car company is imposing on using their car. Shop around for good deals before jumping on one.

Basic Rule Of Renting

One important factor that influences your rental car charges is for how long you are going to rent the car. If you are going to rent the car for less than a week, it is a good idea to rent the car from a major car company such as Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National or Thrifty etc. However, if you are going to rent the car for a longer stretch of time it may be a good idea to approach a smaller car rental firm, as they may be willing to offer a more competitive rate than their bigger rivals. Car dealers in particular tend to offer good rates in these situations. However, though you may receive a better discount from smaller hire car services, don't expect the same level of service and support offered by the major agencies as their nationwide support service is generally not as good. So if your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, you may have to arrange for towing and repair yourself. So beware that if you want to save money on your rental you'll have to take this risk.
